GRAPEVINE PRESENTATION — Jamie Buchholtz, technology education teacher at Colfax High School, and William C. Yingst Jr., district administrator, presented a new sign to the Merry Mixers senior citizens group June 2 for the Grapevine Senior Center on Main Street in Colfax. The sign was made by students in Buchholtz's Computer Aided Design (CAD) class and cut out with the tech ed department's plasma cutter. From left: Vickie Hendricks, past president of the Merry Mixers; Mona Thorson, president of the Merry Mixers; Jamie Buchholtz; Kathy Tape, secretary of the Merry Mixers; and Bill Yingst. The equipment to make sign was funded by referendum-approved spending for the school district in November of 2016. — Photo by LeAnn R. Ralph
